There are some evenings that feel like more than just an event — they feel like a celebration of identity, strength, and community. The International Women’s Day Celebration Dinner held on 29th March 2026 at Chaka89 was exactly that. Bringing together members of the Ugandan community in the UK, the evening was a beautiful reflection of women being honoured, culture being celebrated, and people coming together in joy. From the moment guests arrived, there was a sense of warmth in the room - elegant styling, proud smiles, and an atmosphere full of anticipation for the evening ahead.
Organised by The Buganda UK & Friends Women’s Association alongside the women’s team of Uganda Muslim Community UK, the dinner created space to celebrate the achievements, resilience, and influence of women within the community and beyond.
It was an evening that blended grace and energy effortlessly - a formal setting filled with laughter, heartfelt connection, and the unmistakable joy that comes when people gather with purpose.
